Who you are booking with
The people who run the tour are the people who answer the phone
Royal Tours has been taking visitors to the Memorial for years, and around 50,000 people a year now travel on our bookings. That volume is the reason we hold our own allocation of guided entry — which is why dates showing as unavailable on the Museum's own website are often still bookable here.
We are not a reseller passing your booking to somebody else. The guides are licensed by the Auschwitz-Birkenau State Museum, the drivers work for us, and the vans and coaches are ours rather than hired in for the day. When something needs to change, there is a person who can change it.

Museum-licensed guides
Every guide is licensed by the Memorial itself. English, German and French.
A host at the Memorial
Someone from our team meets you before entry and stays with you through arrival and security.

The same faces, most days
Drivers, hosts, guides and the office. Most of the people you meet on the day have been doing this for years, and the person who answers your email works alongside them.
Planning your visit
What to know before you book
- How far ahead should I book?
- As early as you can. Guided entry is released in limited numbers and we already hold bookings for next year, so the date you want may be gone weeks or months before you travel.
- Do I need transport?
- The Memorial is at Oświęcim, roughly 70 km from Krakow, 35 km from Katowice, 200 km from Wrocław and 330 km from Warsaw. Driving or coming by bus or train: book entry only. Staying in Krakow without a car: book with transport.
- How long does it take?
- Around four hours on site across both parts of the Memorial, or about seven hours in total with transport from Krakow.
- Is it suitable for children?
- The Museum does not recommend the visit for children under 14.
